- It is used for adhering extruded polystyrene (XPS) or expanded polystyrene (EPS) boards, as well as stone wool insulation boards, to both interior and exterior building surfaces in vertical, horizontal, and ceiling applications.
How is the Thermal Insulation Board Adhesive Mortar – LY 25 kg applied?
The product should be mixed with an electric mixer for 3–4 minutes, allowed to rest for 5 minutes, and then remixed before application. It is recommended to apply a 5 cm wide adhesive frame around the perimeter of the board and to place at least three adhesive spots within this frame to ensure a minimum adhesion of 40%. During application, care must be taken to prevent the adhesive from spreading onto the side surfaces of the board to avoid creating a thermal bridge.
