A cement-based, single-component waterproofing material that forms a crystallized structure, applied to concrete mixes or concrete surfaces, and reacts with water originating from within the concrete.
What are the features and advantages of Cement-Based Crystallized Waterproofing Mortar 20 kg?
- Effectively prevents water penetration through the surface thanks to its crystallization capability.
- Resistant to both positive and negative water pressure.
- Easy to use; simply mix with clean water before application.
Where is Cement-Based Crystallized Waterproofing Mortar 20 kg used?
- Elevator pits,
- Water tanks, swimming pools, and ornamental pools,
- Reinforced concrete pipes,
- As a crystalline waterproofing additive during concrete pouring,
- Manholes and infrastructure materials,
- On foundations and basement walls,
- In engineering structures such as subways, tunnels, dams, and highways,
- Used for both positive and negative waterproofing in structures like basement retaining walls.
How to use Cement-Based Crystallized Waterproofing Mortar 20 kg?
Surface Quality: Surfaces must be clean, smooth, solid, and free from any dust, oil, dirt, rust, form oil, detergents, or other contaminants that may hinder adhesion. In case of segregation in the concrete, loose or weak particles must be removed. Any cracks or holes on the application surface should be repaired using appropriate repair mortars. Wait 3–4 days before proceeding with the SH 504 application. Make sure the slope screed or concrete is laid in the direction of water flow. Slope control should be carried out by placing a screed rail from the start point to the drainage point and checking it with a level. If there is no slope or a reverse slope is detected, do not proceed with the application. Adjust the water drainage direction by modifying the screed or concrete, and if necessary, apply an additional screed or concrete layer.
Surface Preparation: If the surface to be waterproofed is dry, it must be wetted and brought to a saturated surface-dry condition prior to application. Pour 6.0–7.0 liters of clean, clear water at room temperature into a clean container free from any adhesion-preventing substances. Empty the 20 kg bag of SH 504 into the water. Mix the product with a low-speed mixer until a lump-free homogeneous mixture is obtained. Mixing should continue for at least 5 minutes. After mixing, allow the mortar to rest for 3 minutes, then mix again for 2 minutes until it becomes fully homogeneous.
Application of SH 504 can be done in two ways: by brush or by manual sprinkling.
