Elastomeric resin-based, single-component, super-elastic, ready-to-use waterproofing material.

What are the features and advantages of Bitumen-Based Single-Component Liquid Membrane 508, 18 kg?

  • Can be applied to both dry and damp surfaces.
  • Once dried, it forms a continuous, impermeable layer on the applied surface, preventing water and moisture penetration.
  • Used as a coating for insulation purposes, as a waterproofing and adhesion enhancer in cement-based mortars; applied under bitumen coatings, and as a primer when diluted with water.

Where is Bitumen-Based Single-Component Liquid Membrane 508, 18 kg used?

  • In building foundations and basement walls, as a waterproofing material,
  • In kitchens, bathrooms, and other dry and damp areas, as a waterproofing material,
  • As a primer in bitumen coating applications,
  • As a primer and binder in applications such as fiberglass, canvas, etc.,
  • As an impermeability and adhesion enhancer in mortars and plasters made with cement and/or fine sand,
  • To prevent construction molds from bending or deteriorating due to water, and as a mold release agent,
  • Environmentally friendly as it does not contain solvents and can be easily used in enclosed spaces.

How to use Bitumen-Based Single-Component Liquid Membrane 508, 18 kg?

Surface Preparation:
The surface to be applied should be free from dust, dirt, rust, and oil; loose particles should be scraped off; sharp edges and corners should be rounded. If necessary, 508 can be diluted with water at a maximum ratio of 1:1 by weight and applied as a primer.

Application Method:
Before applying the primer to the surface to be insulated, the surface’s smoothness, dryness, cleanliness, and the presence of a sufficient sloped screed should be checked. 508 is applied with a brush or spray gun at a coverage rate of 800 g per square meter and should be allowed to dry completely. It typically dries in about 4-5 hours, depending on weather conditions. For double-coat applications, the second coat should not be applied until the first coat is fully dry. Membrane adhesion work should begin only after the primer is completely dry.
