White cement-based, high-performance, polymer-modified adhesive mortar with enhanced water impermeability and frost resistance. It is specially designed for bonding large, heavy, light-colored natural stone and similar tiles on both horizontal and vertical surfaces. This product features reduced slippage and an extended working time, and it is classified as a C2TE adhesive mortar.
Applications
- Delivers superior performance in bonding ceramic, granite, marble, and similar cladding materials on horizontal and vertical surfaces in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Features and Advantages
- Easy to prepare.
- Provides ample working and open time for hassle-free application.
- Easily applied to surfaces.
- Polymer-modified.
- Offers an extended working time.
Surface Preparation
- The surface must be completely free of mold release agents, dust, paint, and any adhesion-reducing substances.
- Cracks and holes should be repaired with an appropriate AKTİWEX product before application.
- If necessary, moisten the surface with water prior to application.
Mortar Preparation and Application
In a mixing container, first add water, then incorporate AKTİWEX (6–6.5 liters of water per 20 kg bag). Mix with a low-speed electric mixer until all lumps are eliminated. Allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes, then remix to achieve a homogeneous blend. Apply the prepared mortar to the surface in a layer up to 10 mm thick, comb it, and bond the tiles. For optimal adhesion, press the tiles firmly into the mortar using a rubber mallet. Joint filling should be carried out at least 24 hours after the AKTİWEX application.
Packaging and Storage
- Packaged in 25 kg polyethylene-reinforced kraft bags; palletized shipment is available upon request.
- Store the product in its original packaging in a dry environment free from frost hazards, stacking no more than 8 bags high. Unopened bags should be used within 1 year from the production date, and opened bags within 1 week.
