Smooth Surface Primer – 802

A solvent-free, polymer dispersion-based, filled primer material for exposed concrete surfaces.

What are the features and advantages of Smooth Surface Primer?

    • Creates a rough surface for improved adhesion when bonding ceramics to smooth and glossy substrates.
    • Ensures that loose, dusty particles adhere to the surface, enabling the ceramic adhesive to bond more effectively.
    • Ready to use; can be applied with a brush or roller.
    • Solvent-free.
    • Odorless.

Where is Smooth Surface Primer used?

  • Used as a primer on smooth and glossy surfaces such as ceramic, exposed concrete, marble, clinker, and plywood, as well as on absorbent surfaces such as plaster, concrete, render, screed, and wood.

How is Smooth Surface Primer used?

Ensure the surface has cured properly and is sound. The surface must be cleaned of dust, dirt, formwork oil, slag, paint, and similar residues that may hinder adhesion. Weak or cracked plaster surfaces, mortar, and cement residues must be scraped off. If necessary, the surface should be leveled and cracks repaired. 802 should be thoroughly mixed before application and applied using a brush or roller. No additives should be mixed into the product. On highly absorbent surfaces such as plaster, screed, or concrete, it should be applied in two coats.
