A solvent-free, polymer dispersion-based, filled primer material for exposed concrete surfaces.
What are the features and advantages of Exposed Concrete Primer?
- Creates a rough surface on smooth exposed concrete floors to improve adhesion strength for plaster applications.
- Prevents rapid water loss in cement- and gypsum-based plasters, allowing for easier workability over a longer period.
- Ready to use; can be applied with a brush or roller.
- Solvent-free.
- Odorless.
Where is Exposed Concrete Primer used?
- In interior and exterior areas,
- On horizontal and vertical surfaces,
- On ceilings,
- As an adhesion-promoting primer for gypsum-, lime-, and cement-based plasters applied on exposed concrete surfaces.
How is Exposed Concrete Primer used?
Ensure the surface has completed curing and is sound. The surface must be free of dust, dirt, formwork oil, slag, paint, and similar residues that may impair adhesion. Cracked plasters, weak surfaces, and sub-surfaces lacking sufficient strength, as well as mortar and cement residues, must be scraped off. If necessary, the surface should be leveled and cracks repaired. Mix 4.0–6.0 liters of water into the 12 kg bucket of 801 and stir thoroughly before application with a brush or roller. It is recommended to prepare the mixture using a low-speed mixer operating under 500 rpm. The resulting mixture should be applied to the surface using a roller or brush. The material in the container should be stirred intermittently during application. Drying time is 45–60 minutes; no additional layer should be applied before it is completely dry.
